Death Toll Soars to 82 in Addis Ababa Garbage Landslide

Scuffles break out in Ethiopia as bereaved families accuse rescue workers of delays after rubbish collapse kills scores.

Bereaved families scuffled with rescue workers on Tuesday at a dump (aka ‘Koshe’) in the Ethiopian capital where the collapse of a mountain of rubbish killed at least 82 people on Saturday.

Relatives pushed and shoved emergency workers, angrily accusing them of delays and saying dozens of people were still missing after the disaster at the Reppi dump.

“Nobody is helping us. We are doing all the digging ourselves. It is shameful,” Kaleab Tsegaye, a relative of one victim, told the Reuters news agency.

Ethiopia on Tuesday declared three days of national mourning that will be observed from tomorrow.

The collapse late on Saturday destroyed 49 makeshift homes inside the landfill site on the outskirts of Addis Ababa, city spokesman Amare Mekonen said.

Over the past few days, a few rescuers have used bulldozers to move piles of rubbish as hundreds of people have gathered at the scene, weeping and praying. Some dug through the rubbish with their hands.

“My babies, my babies, my little daughter,” cried one man wandering through the dump in the Ethiopian capital on Monday, tears streaming down his face. Neighbours said he had lost his wife and four children.

On one side of the hill, volunteers sobbed as they pulled out three corpses, including a child found on top of its mother.

Hundreds of people live on the 50-year-old Reppi dump, the capital’s only landfill site, scavenging for food and items they can sell such as recyclable metal.

It was not immediately clear what caused the collapse.

“We expect the number of victims to increase because the landslide covered a relatively large area,” Dagmawit Moges, head of the city’s communications bureau, said.

About 150 people were at the site when the landslide happened, resident Assefa Teklemahimanot told The Associated Press news agency.

Addis Ababa Mayor Diriba Kuma said 37 people had been rescued and were receiving medical treatment.

“In the long run, we will conduct a resettling programme to relocate people who live in and around the landfill,” he said.

“My house was right inside there,” said a shaken Tebeju Asres, pointing to where one of the excavators was digging in deep, black mud. “My mother and three of my sisters were there when the landslide happened. Now, I don’t know the fate of all of them.”

Residents Blast Government

The resumption of dumping at the site in recent months most likely caused the landslide, Assefa said.

Dumping had stopped in recent years, but it resumed after farmers in a nearby region, where a new landfill complex was being built, blocked dumping in their area.

Smaller landslides have occurred at the Koshe landfill in the past two years, Assefa said.

Some volunteers had also expressed anger at the city administration on Monday as media arrived at the scene. As well as the two excavators, only three ambulance workers were at the site. Scuffles broke out between them and residents as journalists approached.

“Stop pretending for the cameras!” one local said. “They haven’t provided us with anything. Not even gloves. When it gets dark, we are using our mobile phones [for light].”

“We have warned the authorities for more than 10 years as the rubbish piled up. There has not been any response. It is criminal negligence,” said Taye Woldeamanuel, a 48-year-old whose sister narrowly survived the landslide.

About 500 waste-pickers are believed to work at the landfill every day, sorting through waste from the capital’s estimated four million residents. City officials say close to 300,000 tonnes of waste are collected each year from the capital, most of it dumped at the landfill.

የዶ/ር ሙላቱ ተሾመ ጀርባ ሲገለጥበጋዜጠኛ ተክለሃይማኖት ገብረመድህን እምባየ ካብ መቀለ

ፕ/ት ሆነው የተመረጡት ሙላቱ ተሾመ ትምህርታቸውን በሰባዎቹ አመታት የተከታተሉትና “ዶ/ር” የሚል ማእረግ ያገኙት በቻይና ነው። በትምህርታቸው በጣም ደካማ ነበሩ። ሙላቱ ሁለት አመት ወድቀው ከመባረር የተረፉት በነዶ/ር ነጋሶ ጊዳዳ አማካይነት ሲሆን፣ በወቅቱ ዶ/ር ነጋሶ ያሉበት ኮሚኒቲ ለዩኒቨርሲቲው ያቀረቡት የextension ጥያቄ ተቀባይነት አግኝቶ መቀጠል እንደቻሉ፣ እንዲሁም ቻይና በነበሩ ጓደኞቻቸው እገዛ ለመጨረስና “ዶ/ር” ለመባል እንደበቁ፣ ጉዳዩን በቅርብ የሚያውቁ ምሁር በወቅቱ አጋልጠው ነበር። ምሁሩ ጉዳዩን ለማጋለጥ የተነሱት ዶ/ር ነጋሶ በገዛ ፈቃዳቸው ስልጣን ለመልቀቅ ጥያቄ ማቀረባቸውን ተከትሎ በስብሰባ ላይ « መንግስቱ ሃ/ማሪያምን መሰልከኝ» ሲሉ አቶ መለስ ዜናዊን ተናግረው ስብሰባውን ጥለው በመውጣታቸው፣ ከዚያም ዶ/ር ሙላቱ በያዙት አቋምና ጭራሽ «ነጋሶ መጠየቅና መታሰር አለበት» በማለት ከመለስ ወግነው በመናገራቸው ምክንያት እንደሆነ ተመልክቷል። ከዩኒቨርሲቲ ጀምሮ የረዷቸውና የኦ.ህ.ዴ.ድ አባል እንዲሆኑ ያደረጓቸው ዶ/ር ነጋሶ ሆነው ሳለ፣ ያን ሁሉ ውለታ ረስተውና በአደርባይነት ተሰልፈው እንዴት «ነጋሶ መታሰር አለበት» ብለው በጭፍን ይፈርዳሉ?..ሲሉ ምሁሩ በግርምት በወቅቱ ጠይቀዋል። ለአቶ መለስ ባሳዩት ታማኝነት ዶ/ር ነጋሶን ተክተው ፕ/ት እንዲሆኑ በወቅቱ ታጭተው የነበረ ቢሆንም፣ እንዲሰረዝ የተደረገው «የፓርቲ አባል ያልሆነ ነው ፕ/ት መሆን የሚችለው» የሚልና በተጨማሪ የቀድሞውን ፕ/ት ዶ/ር ነጋሶን ከፖለቲካ ተሳትፎ ውጭ የሚያደርግ አሳፋሪ ህግ በመለስ እንዲወጣ በመደረጉ ነበር። ሌላው አነጋጋሪ ነጥብ ይህ አዋጅ ሳይሻር፣ ማለትም « የፓርቲ አባል ያልሆነ ግለሰብ ፕ/ት ይሆናል» የሚለው ህግ በአዋጅ ሳይሻር፥ የገዢው ፓርቲ አባል የሆኑት ሙላቱ ተሾመ ፕሬዝዳንት ሆነው መመረጣቸው አስገራሚና ምን ያክል ለራሳቸው ህግና አዋጅ እንደማይገዙ የሚያሳይ ሆኗል።

በሌላም በኩል “ዶ/ር” ሙላቱ ሚኒስትር በነበሩበት ወቅት፣ መጋቢት 1996ዓ.ም ፓርቲው ባደረገው ግምገማ በአቶ መለስ ከተዘለፉት አንዱ ሲሆኑ፣ ጉዳዩን በመንተራስ «ኢትኦጵ» ጋዜጣ «ከሕወሐት መንደር ከቃረምኩት» በሚል አምዱ በወቅቱ ይፋ ባደረገው መረጃ እንደዘገበው፥ « አቶ መለስ ንቀት በተሞላበት ሁኔታ “ ሙላቱ – አንተን ሚ/ር አድርጌ መሾሜን ረስቸዋለሁ። ያለስራ በሚ/ርነት የተጎለትክ ነህ፤ እዛው ጃፓን አምባሳደር እንደሆንክ ብትቀር ይሻላል። ..ኦ.ህ.ዴ.ድ ማለት ለትግል ፈጥረነው የት እንደገባ የማይታወቅ ድርጅት ነው።” » በማለት መለስ ዜናዊ መናገራቸውን አመልክቶ ነበር።
የ“ዶ/ር” ሙላቱ ባለቤት ወ/ሮ መአዛ አብርሃም ትባላለች። ሸንቃጣዋና የደስ ደስ ያላት መአዛ አንድ ጃፓናዊ አግብታና ልጅ ወልዳ በቶኪዮ ከተማ ትኖር ነበር። እራሷን በጣም ስለምትጠብቅና አለባበሷን (አጭር ሚኒ ቁምጣ ነው የምትለብሰው) ለተመለከታት በወጣትነት የእድሜ ክልል እንደሆነች አድርጎ ይገምታታል፤ ሃቁ ግን ወ/ሮ መአዛ 53 አመት እድሜ ይሆናታል። ከሙላቱ ተሾመ ጋር የተዋወቁት ጃፓን ነበር። መአዛ በጣም ብልጥ ሴት ናት። በጃፓን የኢትዮጲያ አምባሳደር የነበሩት ሙላቱ ተሾመን ታጠምዳለች። ያጠመደችው ወላጅ አባቷ አቶ አብርሃም ነጋ በቀይ ሽብር ወንጀል ተከሰው ስለታሰሩ ነበር። ጃፓናዊ የልጇን አባት ባሏን በመግፋት አምባሰድሩን ትቀርባለች። እንዳጋጣሚ አቶ ተሾመ የስራ ጊዚያቸውን ጨርሰው አገር ቤት ሲመጡ አብራ ትመጣለች። ክዛም ወላጅ አባቷን እንዲያስፈታላት ትጠይቃለች። የተጠየቁት ሙላቱ « ይህን በጭራሽ አልችልም። እነመለስ ከሰሙ ከእንጀራዬ ወዲያው ያባርሩኛል። ይህን ጥያቄ ዳግም እንዳትጠይቂኝ።» ይላሉ። ወላጅ አባቷ በ2000ዓ.ም ከእስር ተፈቱ። ወ/ሮ መአዛ ጃፓናዊ ባሏንና ልጇን በመተው ለፈፀመችው የትዳር ማፍረስ ተግባር ወደዛች አገር ዳግም እንዳትገባ ውሳኔ ስለተላለፈባት፣ ከ”ዶ/ር” ሙላቱ ጋር መጠቃለልን መረጠች። መአዛና ሙላቱ አንድ ልጅ አፍርተዋል። ሙላቱ ተሾመ በ1994ዓ.ም በሰባት ሚሊዮን ብር በቦሌ ያስገነቡት ዘመናዊ ቪላ በወር 36ሺህ ብር እንደሚከራይ ማረጋገጥ የተቻለ ሲሆን፣ ቪላውን ለመገንባት ገንዘቡ በሙስና እንዲገኝ ትልቅ ሚና የተጫወቱት ባለቤታቸው ወ/ሮ መአዛ መሆናቸው ታውቋል።

የአማራ ክልል የድንበር ከተሞች ለአጎራባች ክልሎች ሊሰጡ ነው

ኢሳት ከአማራ ክልል ባለስልጣናት ባገኘው መረጃ የጃን አሞራ፣ የማይጸብሪ አዋሳኝ፣ ራስዳሸንን ጨምሮ የአዲአርቃይን አካባቢዎች ወደ ትግራይ፣ በመተማ በኩል ደግሞ የተወሰነውን ክፍል ለቤንሻንጉል ጉሙዝ ክልል ለመስጠት ድርድር በመካሄድ ላይ ነው።
ባለስልጣናቱ ቀደም ብለው የህዝቡን የልብ ትርታ ለማዳመጥ ጥረት ሲያደርጉ እንደነበር የደረሰን መረጃ የሚያመለክት ሲሆን፣ አንዳንድ የወረዳ ባላስልጣናት ጉዳዩን ወደ መድረክ እንድናወጣላቸው ተማጽነዋል።
መንግስት ከአሁን በፊት በአማራ ክልል ስር የነበረውን የመተከል ዞን ለቢኒሻንጉል ጉምዝ ፤ራያና ቆቦ ፤ዳንሻ እና ሁመራ ፤በመተማ በኩል ለሱዳን ፤የመተማ ቀሪው ክፍል ለቤንሻንጉል ፣ በሰሜን ሺዋ በኩል ለኦሮምያ የልማት እገዛ በሚል መሰጠቱን በማውሳት ፣ አሁንም ተጨማሪ መሬት እየተቆረሰ ክልሎችን ለማስደሰት እየዋለ ነው በማለት ቅሬታቸውን ገልጸዋል።
የአንቀጽ 39 ቱርፈቶች የሰጡን ገፀ በረከቶች ናቸው ሲሉ የአማረሩት የድንበር ከተማ ነዋሪዎች፣ ”ጨለምተኛ አባት መሬት እየሸጠ ልጆቹን ከእርስት ይነቅላል፡፡ ጨለምተኛ መንግስት አገርን በመሸጥ ዜጎችን ያስደፍራል፡፤ ምንነታቸውን ያሳጣል መንግስትም ማንነታችን እየነጠቀን ነው ሲሉ” ገልጸዋል።
ሁኔታው ያበሳጫቸው ነዋሪዎች በአገር ውስጥና በውጭ የሚገኙ ድርጅቶች ጉዳዩን አጽንዎት ሰጥተው ሊያዩት ይገባል ብለዋል።
ከዚሁ ጋር በተያያዘ የትግርኛን ቋንቋ በአማራ ክልል ተማሪዎች እንዲማሩት ለማድረግ ታስቦ በጎንደር በተካሄደው የፓይለት ጥናት ህዝባዊ ተቃውሞ በማስነሳቱ እንዲቆም ተደርጓል።
ይህ በእንዲህ እንዳለ በአዲስ አበባ ዩኒቨርስቲ የቋንቋ ጥናት ባለሙያ የሆኑት ፕሮፌሰር ባየ ይማም በቅርቡ በአቀረቡት ጥናት የመንግስት ቋንቋ አጠቃቀም ‘የህዝብን ጉዳይ በህዝብ ቋንቋ’ የሚለውን መርህ የተከተለ ባለመሆኑ ህዝቡ ማግኘት ያለበትን መልእክት በትክክል እያገኘ፤ ለለውጥም እየተነሳሳ አይደለም ብለዋል፡፡ ባጭር ቃል በዚህ አይነት ቋንቋ የሕዝብን አእምሮ መቀየር እንደማይቻል የገለጹት ፕሮፌሰሩ፣ባለስልጣናቱ የአማረኛ ቋንቋ እንዲጠፋ የበኩላቸውን እየተወጡ ነው ብለዋል፡፡
“ሀገራችን የቋንቋ ፖሊሲና የአጠቃቀም ደንብ ወይም ስርዓት እስካሁን የላትም፡፤ እስካሁን ድረስ ከህገመንግስታዊ የመብት ማረጋገጫ አንቀጾች ያለፈ፣ ቋንቋን እንደ ማንኛውም የሀገር ሀብት በእቅድ የሚያሳድግ፣ የሚቆጣጠር፣ አጠቃቀሙን ስርዓት የሚያሲዝ ፖሊሲና ዝርዝር ደንብ የለንም፡፡ ባለመኖሩም ሁሉም እንደፈለገ የሚተረጉምበት፣ የሚጽፍበት፣ የሚያሰራጭበት ሁኔታ ውስጥ ገብተናል፡፡ ይህ ሊቆምና ቋንቋዎቻችን በዕቅድ ሊያድጉና ጥቅም ላይ ሊውሉ ይገባል” ሲሉ ፕሮፌሰሩ ተናግረዋል።
ፕሮፊሰር ባየ ይማም ለቋንቋው ድክመት የመንግስት ባለስላጣናት ተጠያቂ መሆናቸውንም ገልጸዋል።

አማርኛ ቋንቋ የሀገሪቱ የስራ ቋንቋ መሆኑ እየታወቀ ክልሎች በፍፁም ጥላቻ እንዲያድርባቸው እንዲሁም ክፍል ውስጥ ገብተው የመማርን መብት ለተወላጆች ብቻ ትቻለሁ በማለት የአማርኛ ትምህርት ክፍለ ጊዜዎች ፤ በትግራይ ፤ ኦሮምያ፤እና ደቡብ ልልኦች ክፍት ይሆናሉ።
ተማሪዎች በቋንቋ ትምህርት በሚመዱበበት ወቅትም በአማርኛ ቋንቋ የሚሰጡ ደጋፊ ትምህርቶችን ላለመማር አሰጣ አገባ እንደሚገቡ ታውቁዋል፡፡
በኦሮሚያ፣ በትግራይ፣ በቤንሻንጉል እና ሶማሊ ክልሎች የክልሎቹን ቋንቋ የማይናገሩ ተማሪዎች ተመርቀው ስራ ለማግኘት አይችሉም። በመሆኑም ከአማራ ክልል የሚመጡ ተማሪዎች ከክልላቸው፣ ከአዲስ አበባ እና ከደቡብ ክልል ውጭ በሌሎች ክልሎች ተቀጥረው ለመስራት እየተቸገሩ ነው።

አንዳንድ ልዩ ችሎታ ያላቸው ወይም መንግስታዊ ባልሆኑ ድርጅቶች ውስጥ ተቀጥረው ለመስራት ካልሆነ በስተቀር የአማራ ክልል ተማሪዎች ስራ ለመያዝ እንደሚቸገሩ ጉዳዩን በቅርበት የሚከታተሉ ሰዎች ገልጸዋል።
በሌላ በኩል ግን አማርኛ የሚችል የማንኛውም ክልል ተወላጅ በአማራ ክልል ተወዳድሮ ስራ የመያዝ መብቱ የተጠበቀ ነው።

ኣብዚ ሎሚ እዋን ኤርትራ ብዓለም ተነጺላ እያ ፡ ክልተ ግዜ እገዳ ተጌሩላ ፡ ብረት ክትሽምት ኣይትኽእልን እያ ፡ መንእሰያታ ተጓሕጒሖም ተሰዲዶም እዮም ፡ ንሕና ግን ምሉእ ዘይጉዱል ናይ ኣሜሪካ ሓገዝ ኣለና ክሳብ ኣፍንጫና ዘመናዊ ኣጽዋር ዝዓጠቕና ኢና ንኤርትራ ኣብ ሓጺር እዋን ካብ ካርታ ዓለም ክንሓካ ንኽእል ኢና ክብሉ ይስምዑ ኣለዉ ።

ጭፍራ ወያኔ በቲ ካብ በረኻ ደደቢት ሒዘሞ ዝመጹ እከይ ተግባራቶም ፣ ካብ ጎረባብቲ መሬት ጨሪምካ ናብ ትግራይ ብምጽንባር ናይ መጻኢት ረፑብሊክ ዓባይ ትግራይ ንምምስራት እዩ ኔሩ። ነቲ ብሳላ ህዝባዊ ግንባር ሓርነት ኤርትራ ኮፍ ዝበልዎ ዙፋን ነገስታት ኢትዮጵያ ተጠቒሞም ንመላእ ህዝቢ ኢትዮጵያ ብምጭቋንን ብምርጋጽን ሃብቱ ጓሕጒሖም ንትግራይ ብምግዓዝ ዒም ንዝበለ ጥይት ብምዅላስ ንዕስራን ሓሙሽተን ዓመታት ንህዝቢ ኢትዮጵያ ግዳይ ሞትን ህልቂትን ስደትን ጌሮሞ።
እዞም ብኹሉ ዓይነት መዐቀኒታት ንህዝቢ ኢትዮጵያ ከመሓድሩ ይኹኑ ክጭቁኑ ፍጹም ብቕዓት ዘይብሎም ወገናውያን ጸበብቲ ርእሲ ወያነ: ን25 ዓመታት ብደም ህዝቢ ክጻወቱ ጸኒሖም። ወያኔ ንኢትዮጵያ ብብሄር ከሊሎም ብምጉጅጃል ንሓድሕዱ ከም ዘይራኸብን ብዓይኒ ጽልእን ቅርሕንትን ከም ዝጠማመት ጌረሞ።
ወያነ እቲ ቀዳማይ ጸላኢኦም ጌሮም ዝወሰድዎን ንምጥፍኡን ዝዓጠቑን ብሔር ኣምሓራ እዩ። ወያኔ እዚ ኣብ ልዕሊ ኣምሓራ ዘለዎም ጽልኢ ሎሚ ኣብ ግዜ ወያኔ ዝጀመረ ዘይኮነስ ካብ ቅድም ካብ ግዜ ሃጸይ ቴዎድሮስ ሃጸይ ዮሃንስ ኣትሒዙ ዝነበረ እዩ።
ጀነራል ናፕየር ንሃጸይ ቴዎድሮስ ንምውጋእ ንመቅደላ ክኸይድ ከሎ መንገዲ ዝመርሖን ብግዝኣቱ ክሓልፍ ዘፍቀደ እቲ ድሒሩ ሃጸይ ዮሃንስ ዝተሰምየ ትግራዋይ መስፍን ነበረ። እዛ ጭፍራ ንልዕሊ ተስዓ ሚልዮን ዝኾኑ ካልኦት ብሄራት ኢትዮጵያ ረጊጻን ጨፍሊቓን ሃብቲ ናይታ ሃገር ናብ ትግራይ ብምግዓዝ ፣ ንትግራይ ልዕሊ ኩለን ብሄራት ኢትዮጵያ ጌራ ኪኖ እዚ ብሓይሊ ውን ጎብለል ናይ ቀርኒ ኣፍሪቃ ክትከውን ምሕላማን ምፍታናን መጥፍኢኣ ምዃኑ ኣይተገንዘበትን።
ኣብ ኢትዮጵያ ጥራይ ኣይተሓጽረትን: ሕሉፍ ሓሊፋ ንኤርትራ ወሪራን ኣዳኺማን ንደንካልያ መሬት ኤርትራ ኣብ ዓባይ ትግራይ ኣእትያ ናይ ባሕሪ ኣፍደገ ዘለዋ ጎብለል ቀርኒ ኣፍሪቃ ዓባይ ትግራይ ንምምስራት እዩ። ኣብ ልዕሊ ኤርትራ ዝሓለመቶን ዝፈተነቶን ንዘለኣለም ካብ ግንባራ ዘይሃስስ ስምብራት ገዲፉላ እዩ። እቲ ናይ መወዳእታ ዕምራ ዝሓጽረሉን ካብ ምድረ ገጽ ሓንሳብን ንሓዋሩን ኣብ መጋርያ ሓዊ ተጠቢሳ እትጠፍኣሉ መጋርያ ሓዊ ከኣ እነሆ ቃልቃል ይብል ኣሎ። ሕጂ ደኣ ወይን/ማለሊት እንታይ ይሓይሽ ? ኣበይን ብኸመይን እዩ ክህደም ?
እዛ ጭፍራ ነቲ ካብ ደደቢት ኣትሒዛ ዝኣለመቶ ተንኮል እቶም ዝፈጠርዋ ህዝባዊ ግንባር ነዚ ግጉይ ኣተሓሳስባ ክትቅይሮ ከም ዘለዋ እንተ ዘይኮነ መጥፍኢኣ ከም ዝኸውን ኣቐዲሞም ነጊሮማ ኔሮም: እንተ ኾነ ዝሓስብ ኣእምሮ ስለ ዘይተዓደለት ፣ ዘይንሳ ንኽትከውን ብዝገበረቶ እከይ ተግባር እንሃ ናብ ናይ መወዳእታ ጥፍኣታ ትኸይድ ኣላ።

እዛ ጭፍራ እዚኣ እቲ ዝተበገሰትሉ እከይ ውጥን ቅድም ቀዳድም ህዝቢ ትግራይ፣ እዚ ማለት ናይ ካልኦት ህዝብታት መሬት መንዚዕካ ናብ ትግራይ ጸንቢርካን ኩሉ ምዕባሌታት ኣብ ትግራይ ጥራይ ምክያድ ፣ ነቶም ካልኦት ብሄራት መሰሎም ገፊፍካ ልሙዕ መሬቶም ተሓዲጎም ወይ ንተጋሩ ምሃብ ወይ ድማ ንወጻእተኛታት ኣውፈርቲ ምሃብ ፣ ንዕኦም ድማ ካብ መሬቶም ምስጓግ ንዝተቓወመ ብጃምላ ምርሻን ወይ ኣብ ኣብያተ ማእሰርቲ ኣእቲኻ ምስቓይ ስርሐይ ኢላ ተተሓሓዘቶ።
እቲ መሬት እኮ ናይ ዋናታቱ እዩ ! እቶም ኣህዛብ ህይወቶም ወይ ህላውነቶም ምስ መሬቶም ዝተተሓሓዘ እዩ ! ከመይ ጌርካ ንወዲ መሬት እዚ መሬትካ ንመስርሒ ኣባይቲ ክንጥቀመሉ ኢና ንስኻ ልቐቕ ትብሎ ! ኣራዊትኳ ነቲ ናተይ ዝብሎ መሬቱ ካብ ኣካላቱ ብዝወጽእ ፈሳሲ እናገበረ ይሓጽሮ እዩ፣ ነታ ዶብ ሓሊፉ ዝኣቱ ዝኾነ ካልእ ኣራዊት ድማ ክሳብ ህይወቱ ከፊሉ ይከላኸለላ ። እዚ እኮ ባህርያዊ ንኹሉ ፍጡር ኣብዛ ዓለም ዝተዋህቦ ጸጋ እዩ ! ከመይ ጌርካ ነዚ ከተፍርሶ ትህቅን ! መን እያ እዛ ጭፍራ ንደቂ መሬት መሬት መንግስቲ እዩ መንግስቲ ውጽኡ እንተ ኢልኩም ምውጻእ ጥራይ እዩ ፣ሕቶ ዝበሃል የሎን ትብል ? ህዝቢ ኢትዮጵያ ንመሬቱ ደም እናኸፈለ እኮ እዩ ንውሉድ ወለዶ ዓቂብዎ ጸኒሑ ! ንሓደ ህዝቢ ንመሬቱ ኣይናትካን እዩ ናይ መንግስቲ እዩ ክትብሎ በየናይ መምዘንን መዐቀንን ? ከምዚ ንኽትብል መን ኢኻ ንስኻ ? ሃጸይ ሃይለስላሰ ንህዝቢ ኢትዮጵያ ካብ ድቕድቕ ጸልማት ኣውጺኡ ናይ ብርሃን ጩራ ዝኸፈተሎም እዩ፣ እንተኾነ ሓንቲ ዓባይን ደሓር ካብ ሱሩ ተመንቊሱ ከም ዝጠፍእ ዝገበረቶን ጌጋ ፣ ትሕዝቶ መሬት እያ ። መሬት ብውሑዳት መሳፍንቲ ተወኒኑ ሓፋሽ ህዝቢ ኢትዮጵያ ግን ኣብ ገዛእ መሬቱ ባርያ ኮይኑ ኔሩ። ንኣውያትን ስቓይን ህዝቢ ኢትዮጵያ ጸማም እዝኒ ዝሃበ ሃጸይ ሃይለስላሰ ብህዝባዊ ናዕቢ ሓንሳብን ንሓዋሩን ጠፊኡ። እዛ ጭፍራ ንምንታይ ካብዚ ኣይተማህረትን ? ሕጂዶ ይሓይሽ !

እዛ ጭፍራ ነቲ ካብ በረኻ ደደቢት ሒዛቶ ዝኣተወት ተንኮላት ኣብ ግብሪ ንምውዓል መታን ክጥዕማ ነታ ብሄር ሃይማኖት ዘይፈሊ 13 ጠቅላይ ግዛት ዝነበራ ኢትዮጵያ በብብሔር መቓቒላ ናብ 9 ክልላት ጎዛዝያታ ። እዚ ንምንታይ ኣድለየ ? ከም ቀደማ እታ ሃገር 13 ጠቅላይ ግዛት ከከምቲ ዝነበረን ኣስማት እንተኾነት እንታይ ጸገም የምጽእ ? እቲ መልሲ ንጹር እዩ፣ ልሙዕ መሬት ካብ ካልኦት ናብ ግዝኣትካ ኣእትኻ ነታ ትሕለም ዘላ ረፑብሊክ ዓባይ ትግራይ ምስፋሕ፣ ነታ ኢትዮጵያ ከኣ ፋሕ ብትን ኣእትያ ንምጥፍኣን ጎብለል ረፑብሊክ ዓባይ ትግራይ ርእሳ ዝኸኣለት ሃገር ንምምስራት እዩ ።
እዛ ጭፍራ እዚኣ ካብ ሚእቲ ሚልዮን ህዝቢ ኢትዮጵያ እቶም ሸውዓተ ሚልዮን ዘይኣኽሉ ትግራዎት ጥራይ እዮም ብሉጻት ህዝቢ ፣ ኩሉ ነገር ንተጋሩ ጥራይ ክኸውን ኣለዎ፣ ኩሉ ጽፍሕታት ናይታ ሃገር ብተጋሩ ክተሓዝ ኣለዎ፣ ህንጸትን ልምዓትን ኣብ ትግራይ ቀዳምነት ክወሃቦ ኣለዎ ! ስለምንታይ ? ሃገራዊ ባጀት ናይታ ሃገር ልዕሊ ሰብዓ ሚእታዊት ንትግራይ እዩ ዝምደብ ፣ እቶም ካልኦትከ ደቂ መሬት ደቂ ሃገር ፣ ንህላወ ናይታ ሃገር ረዚን መስዋእቲ ዝኸፈሉ ደይኮኑን ! ኩሎም ብሄራት ናይታ ሃገር ብማዕረ ነታ ሃገር ህይወት ካብ ከፈሉላ ንምንታይ ማዕረ ተረባሕቲ ዘይኮኑላ ? እዚ ሕጂ ሆ ኢሉ ተላዒሉ ዘሎ ህዝቢ ኢትዮጵያ ክዓግቶ ዝኽእል ሓይሊ ኣሎዶ ? እዛ ጭፍራ ህይወታ ከተድሕንሲ ይትረፍ መህደሚ ነዃል ውን ኣይትረክብን እያ ! ኣብቲ ንኻልኦት ዝኣጎደቶ መጋርያ ሓዊ ህሙኽ ኢልካ ምሕራር ጥራይ እዩ ዕድላ።
( እንቍራሪት ዝሆንን ኣክላለሁ ብላ ተሰንጥቃ ሞተች ) እዛ ጭፍራ ነቶም ካብ መላእ ህዝቢ ኢትዮጵያ 20% ዝኾኑ ብሔረ ኣምሓራ ንምጽናት ገና ኣብ በረኻ ደደቢት እንከላ ዝሓንጸጸቶ እከይ ውጥን እዩ ፣ ንዕስራን ሓሙሽተን ዓመታት ከኣ ሰሪሓትሉ ። ህዝቢ ኣምሓራ ዘዝለምዐ መሬቱ ተሓዲጉ ንተጋሩ ተዋሂቡ ፣ ዝኾነ ኣምሓራይ ካብ ደገ መጺኡ ኣብ ሃገሩ ወፍሪ ክገብር ምስ ዝደሊ ኣይፍቀደሉን ፣ ኣብ ክልል ኣምሓራ ዝኾነ ህንጸትን ልምዓትን ኣይካየድን ፣ ክንደይ ኢልካ እሞ ክጽብጸብ ! ኣብ ልዕሊ እቶም ልዕሊ 34% ካብ ህዝቢ ኢትዮጵያ ዝኾኑ ብሔረ ኦሮሞ ዝተፈጸመ ህልቂት መግለጺ ቃላት ውን ኣይትረኽበሉን ። ብረት ዘይዓጠቑ መንእሰያት መሰሎም ንምሕታት ሰላማዊ ሰልፊ ዝገበሩ ብኣልማማ ብጥይት ክትርሽኖም ምስ ምንታይ ይቝጸር !
ኣፍሪቃ ካብ ባዕዳዊ መግዛእቲ ኤውሮጵውያን ነጻ ካብ እትወጽእ ሰብዓ ዓመት ክመልእ ዝተረፎ የብሉን። ኤውሮጳውያን ኣብ ልዕሊ ደቀባት ኣፍሪቃውያን ዝገበርዎ ግፍዕታት ክትገልጾ እንተ ፈተንካ ግዜ ይኹን ቃላት ውን ኣይኣኽሉኻን እዮም። ንሳቶም ምስ ከዱኸ ህዝቢ ኣፍሪቃ እንታይ ረኸበ ? ዝብል ሕቶ ብቐዳምነት ይመጸካ እሞ ፣ ካብ ዝብኢ ሃዲሞም ኣብ ገረብ ይድይቡ እሞ ኣብኡ ከኣ ነብሪ ይጸንሖም እዩ እቲ መልሱ።
ኣብ ኣፍሪቃ ካብ መግዛእቲ ይኹን ብዕልዋ መንግስቲ ስልጣን ዘዝሓዘ መንግስቲ ብመጀመርያ ደረጃ ዝገብራ መሬት ናይ መንግስቲ ምግባር እዩ ። እዚ ኣተሓሳስባ እዚ ናይ ማሕበርነት ወይ ኮሚኒዝም መትከል እዩ። ማሕበርነት ወይ ኮሚኒዝም ምዕባለ ከም ዘየምጽእን ከም ዘይሰርሕን ንኣህዛብ ናብ ጥምየትን ድኽነትን ጽልእን ቅርሕንትን ጥራይ ከም ዘምጽእ ካብ 1917 ክሳብ 1990 ኣብ ሕብረት ሶቭየትን ካልኦት ናይ ምብራቕ ኤውሮጳ ሃገራትን ኣብ ግብሪ ተራእዩ እዩ።
ድሕሪኣ እትመጽእ ነቶም ናቱ ዓሌት ዝኾኑ ስልጣንን ሓለፋታትን ብምሃብ ይከናኸኖምን ይኣልዮምን፣ ነቶም ናቱ ብሄር ወይ ዓሌት ዘይኮኑ ካብ ዝኾነ ይኹን ስልጣን ወጊድካ ብመጀመርያ ብጥምየት ከም ዝሃልቁ ወይ ውን ዓዶም ገዲፎም ሃጽ ኢሎም ከም ዝጠፍኡ ምግባርን ብጃምላ ፋሺሽታዊ ብዝኾነ ኣገባብ ቆልዓ ሰበይቲ ከይፈሌኻ ምቕታል ብኡ ኣቢልካ ምጽናት እዩ ። ኣብዚ ከም ኣብነት ዝጥቀስ ኣብ ዩጋንዳ እቲ ጭራሽ መሃይምነት ዘየጥፍአ ሽሙ ክጽሕፍ ዘይክእል ፊልድ ማርሻል ኢዲ ኣሚን ኣልዳዳ ንዶክተር ሚልተን ኦቦተ ገምጢሉ ስልጣን ምስ ሓዘ ኣብ ልዕሊ እቶም ዓሌት ናይ ሚልተን ኦቦተ ዝፈጸሞ ኣረሜናዊ ህልቂት መግለጺ ቃላት ኣይርከቦን እዩ ። ልዕሊ ሰለስተ ሚእቲ ሽሕ ህዝቢ ኣጽኒቱ። ከምኡ ውን ኣብ ሩዋንዳ ዝነበረ ጃምላዊ ህልቂት ኣብ ውሽጢ ውሱናት ኣዋርሕ 800,000 ህዝቢ ብግፍዒ ዝሃለቑሉ ኩልና ንፈልጦ እናክትዝክሮ ዘንቀጥቅጥ ግፍዕን ህልቂትን እዩ ኔሩ። እዝን ወዲ ከምዝን ክትርኢ እንከሎኻ ንህዝቢ ኣፍሪቃስ ኣብ ትሕቲ መግዛእቲ ደኾን ምሓሾ ኔሩ ? ዝብል ሕቶ ኣብ ሓንጎልካ ይመጽእ ።
ንመራሕቲ ኣፍሪቃኣ እቲ ንዛረቦን ንጽሕፎን ቋንቋ ዝርድእዎ ኔሮም እንተ ዝኾኑ እዘን ክልተ ዓበይቲ ጌጋታት ኣይትፈጽምወን ምበልናዮም፣

ንህዝቢ ነታ መሬቱ ኣይናትካን እያ ኣይትበልዎ ! መሬቱን ንሱን ክልተ ክንዲ ሓደ እዮም፣ ኣይነጻጸሉን እዮም ! ንሱ ብዘይ እታ መሬቱ እታ መሬቱ ድማ ብዘይ ንሱ ህላወ የብሎምን ። ንሱ ኣብታ መሬት ይውለድ ፣ ኣብኣ ካብኣ እናተመገበ ይዓቢ፣ ይምርዖ ይወልድ ነታ መሬቱ ንውላዱ ኣረኪቡ ከኣ ካብ ዓለም ይእለ እሞ ኣብታ መሬቱ ከኣ ሓመድ ኣዳም ይለብስ። ንህዝቢ ዋንነት መሬቱ ኣሕዲግካዮን ቀቲልካዮን ክልቲኤን ሓደ እየን ፣እሞ መንግስታት ኣፍሪቃ መሬት ናይ ወዲ መሬት እምበር ናይ መንግስቲ እዩ ኣይትበሉ ምበልናዮም ።

ኣብ ኩለን ሃገራት ኣፍሪቃ ፣ ኣብ ሓንቲ ሃገር ብዙሓት ዝተፈላለዩ ብሄራት ወይ ቀቢላታት ወይ እንዳታት ኣለዉ ። እታ ሃገር ግን ሓንቲ እያ ።ኩሎም ብሓባር ይነብሩላ ፣ ኣብ ግዜ ሓጎስ ብሓባር ይሕጎሱላ ኣብ ግዜ ሓዘን ብሓባር ይሓዝኑላ ጸላኢ እንተ መጺእዋ ብሓባር ይከላኸሉላ ። ሓደ ብዘይ እቲ ሓደ ግርማን መልክዕን ክብርን የብሉን ። መራሕቲ ወይ መንግስታት ኣፍሪቃ ፣ ህዝቢ ኣይትፈላልዩ ! ንኹሉ ብማዕረ ርኣዩዎ ! እቲ ናትኩም ወገን ጥራይ ጸጊቡን ረቢሑን እቲ ካልእ ዝብላዕ ስኢኑ ብጥምየት ክማስን ጽቡቕ ኣይኮነን ! ላም ፍርቂ ጎድና ኣይትሰብሕን እያ ! ብኸምዚ ሃገር ኣይትምዕብልን እያ ! ሃብቲ ሃገር ብማዕርነት ናብ ህዝቢ ኣካፍልዎ ! ህዝቢ ብሓባር እንተ ጠመየ ብሓባር እንተ ጸገበ ንሃገር ሓበና እዩ !

ሓንቲ ሃገር ዝተፈላለዩ ብሄራት ክህልውዋ መልክዓን ግርማኣን ሃብታን እዩ ። መራሕቲ ኣፍሪቃ ንህዝቢ ብዓሌት ብሃይማኖት ብእንዳን ቀቢላን እናፈላሌኹም ኣደዳ ድኽነትን ሞትን ስደትን ትገብርዎ ዘለኹም ንስኻትኩም ኢኹም እሞ ሃየ ጌጋኹም ኣርሙ ክትሓልፉ ስለ ዝኾንኩም ጽቡቕ እናተዘከረ ዝነብር ታሪኽ ገዲፍኩም ሕለፉ ።
እዛ ጭፍራ ካብ በዓል ዩጋንዳን ሩዋንዳን ስለ ዘይተማህረት እነሃ ንኢትዮጵያ ኣብ ብቐሊሉ ዘይጠፍእ ሃልሃልታ ሓዊ ኣጒዳ ንርእሳ ውን ኣብቲ ዝኣጎደቶ ሓዊ ሓሪራ ክትጠፍእ እያ ።
መራሕቲ ሃገራት ኣፍሪቃ ነቲ ንስኹም ዝፈጠርኩሞ ህውከትን ብልሽውናን ሕማቕ ምሕደራን ኣብ ኤውሮጳውያን መንግስታት ኣይተጸግዕዎ ! ንመን ንምዕሻው እዩ ! ህዝብኹም ዘይሓስብ ኣእምሮ ዝውንን መዓስ ኮይኑ ! ንተንኮላት ኤውሮጳውያን ልዕሌኹም ከም ዝፈልጥ ፍለጡ ።
ኩልና ብሓባር አኣብ ዘለናዮ ነዛ ብእከይ ተግባራ ሓንሳብን ካብ ምድረ ገጽ ትጠፍእ ዘላ ጭፍራ ወያኔ ኣብቲ ናይ ቀብሪ ስነ ስርዓት ንምክፋል ኣብ ተጠንቀቕ ንጽናሕ ።

Ethiopia’s Renaissance Dam is Not Secure or Safe

The government of Ethiopia is openly admitting that it is no longer able to secure the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) and as such the country. It is also inadvertently admitting that the EPRDF/Tigray Liberation Front (TPLF) is at war against the people of Benishangul Gumuz as it is with other regional states all over the country.

On March 2, Ethiopian Information Ministry website WaltaInfo reported,

“Ethiopians thwarted the attack attempts of armed groups against the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam project located on the Blue Nile River in the Benishangul Regional State. Twenty of the members of the groups were “completely annihilated.”

According to Zadig Abrha, State Minister of Government Communication Affairs Office (GCAO), ‘Ethiopian security forces have destroyed and arrested members of the, “Benishangul Gumuz People’s Liberation Movement while they were attempting to attack the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).”

According to Human Rights Congress of Ethiopia (HRC) and various sources, “the indigenous people of Benishangul Gumuz, who lived off fishing, have been forcefully moved to locations several tens of kilometers away. HRC stated that around 10, 000 citizens residing in the region have been told that they were not “natives of the region” and were forcefully evicted from the region as of April 23, 2013.” As a result, Benishangul Amhara are waging armed struggle to regain their land rights from the EPRDF/TPLF regime.

The minority regime of Ethiopia has politicized the construction of the dam from the beginning drawing attention from the Nile Basin countries particularly Egypt, a country that depends on Nile waters for its very existence. The late Meles Zenawi was using the construction of the dam to blackmail the former President of Egypt Hosni Mubarak into acquiescing to the regime’s Eritrea agenda.

The minority Tigrayan led TPLF/EPRDF regime used the dam to raise funds from its Tigrayan diaspora constituency and as a political tool to quite the opposition. The regime also attempted to control the political narrative by turning GERD as a patriotic endeavor and a source of national pride and those that opposed the project were cast as unpatriotic.

In 2014, the then the deputy-head of GERD coordination who is now serving as State Minister of Government Communication Affairs Office (GCAO), Mr. Zadig Abraha told the Guardian,

“Ethiopia will become an African Lion. We have finished with the syndrome of dependence; we want to recover our past glory.”

The minority apartheid regime tried to sell the idea of GERD to the international community and the region claiming Ethiopia will become major supplier of electricity in the region while pushing the notion of Ethiopia that is one of the fastest growing economies of the world.

The question in everyone’s mind is if the Renaissance Dam is a source of pride, a symbol of economic progress and expression of Ethiopian stability; why announce to the world that Benishangul Amhara’s tried to sabotage the dam? Furthermore, why paint the entire ethnic group with one brush and accuse them of sabotage?

The regime stated that the group has relations to Eritrea and tried to assign blame to Eritrea. This however, is not the first time the regime has fabricated news.

In 2006, Wikileaks exposed how Ethiopian security forces planted 3 bombs in Addis Ababa and blamed Eritrea. The report from 2006 marked “Secret ; Subject: Ethiopia: Recent Bombings Blamed on Oromos Possibly the Work of GOE [Government of Ethiopia]” “Classified By: Charge [d’Affairs] Vicki Huddleston”, “An embassy source, as well as clandestine reporting, suggests that the bombing may have in fact been the work of the GoE security forces.” (Cable reference id: #06ADDISABABA2708.)

The minority regime ignited the bombs on September 16, 2006 ahead of the African Union Summit and tried to make it appear as if Eritrea was behind the bombing targeting the AU, an-effort designed to label Eritrea a nation linked to terrorism.

The Indian Ocean Newsletter N°1446 – 10/03/2017, called to question the regime’s attempted attack claim as,

“A fake attack on GERD?” and elucidated,

‘While Ethiopian prime minister Hailemariam Desalegn claims to have foiled an attack fomented by Eritrea against the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) Eritrean president Isaias Afworki’s government says it knows absolutely nothing about the matter.

The information minister and government spokesman Yemane Gebremeskel swears to have never heard of the Benishangul People’s Liberation Movement (BPLM) suspected of being behind the attack on the dam. According to our sources, the inauguration of the dam has been put back once again. Workers haven’t been paid for several months.”

This is a familiar pattern. The regime has been fabricating lies for decades. But why is the minority regime making the Renaissance Dam the issue and arouse suspicion that the dam is under threat and possibly not safe? Why announce to the world that the dam is a target? How can the regime promote the sales of electric power while announcing to the world the vulnerabilities that naturally exist?

It makes absolutely no sense to fabricate fake news such as this. The minority apartheid Tigrayan regime can claim that Eritrea has a hand on this. The reality, however, the Benishangul Amhara people are Ethiopians. If Benishangul people are in-deed guilty of the alleged attempted attack, by announcing it to the world, the regime is inadvertently advertising the civil unrest and instability that exist inside Ethiopia.

Regardless of its motives, the regime is on terrible shape. As Indian Ocean Newsletter (ION) reported,

“The inauguration of the dam has been put back once again. Workers haven’t been paid for several months.”

One thing that this report makes clear is that the workers have not been paid for several months. Hence, if the dam is being constructed by employees that are unhappy due to the fact that they are not paid on time; how safe is the dam?

Ethiopia is in serious trouble and this development demonstrates that the TPLF/EPRDF minority apartheid regime is losing grip everywhere. It has been six months since the regime declared state of emergency. The realty is it is impossible to govern a nation under a permanent state of emergency. That only means that the regime has lost control and cannot govern by peaceful means and can only govern by the use of brute force.

This gives the people no option but to pick up arms and struggle and that could only mean civil war.
The regime is beset by problems. Shortage of hard currency, over five million people suffering from hunger and starvation. Insurgency in every corner of the country with every region fighting for its own cause. A landlocked country that is increasingly being challenged by rebel groups from importing goods. Rebels are destroying convoyscarrying goods and gas from Sudan exacerbating shortages. Ethiopia is under constant internal pressures economically, politically, socially and militarily.

The regime has lost credibility and its favored status is getting stripped daily. US congressional representatives are working to influence the Trump administration to review its Ethiopia policy. During a congressional hearing on March 9, 2017 Representative Chris Smith said,

“Ethiopia has long been an important ally, providing effective peacekeepers and collaborating in the War on Terror. However, increasingly repressive policies have diminished political space and threaten to radicalize not only the political opposition but also civil society by frustrating their ability to exercise their rights under law. This hearing will examine the current situation in Ethiopia with an eye toward developing policies to help this nation to reverse an increasingly tense situation in the troubled Horn of Africa.”

Congressman Dana Rohrabacher takes it a step further and said,

“The Ethiopian regime represent a small minority in Ethiopia. We are helping that small clique which is corrupt and brutal. It’s time for the U.S. to say we made a mistake by going down that road with a small group of people. We should be friends with the overall people of Ethiopia, not just with a clique. That will serve the interest of the U.S. and the interest of the people of Ethiopia.”

For the first time, the minority regime in Ethiopia is naked and finds itself without the blanket cover that it once enjoyed in the State Department and the White House. Things have drastically changed and if there is a political will the republican house and senate can quickly move to reverse a flowed policy that hurt the Ethiopian people and the people of the region.

Concluding Remarks

It is only a matter of time before Ethiopia explodes out of control. The Tigrayan lead minority apartheid regime is incapable to come up with real solution that could take Ethiopia to a better place. As a result, the regime will continue the path it has been taking for over 25 years. The Renaissance Dam false-flag is a continuation of the pattern.

Unfortunately, there appears no viable solution for Ethiopia’s woes. It may be too late for any US policy maneuvers to make a difference. Ethiopia’s only solution; establish a united government in exile. If Ethiopians managed to create a unity government sponsored by the Trump administration, Ethiopia may have a chance to survive as a nation. Otherwise, the slow death will help disintegrate Ethiopia for good.
